Chat problems

Hey i need help... My characters chatting stuff works good, but my Paladin is having chat problems i can only see the texts through people's chat bubbles but i can't read texts through my text screen and i've tried removing the patch, deleting the cache & interface files, i've tried just deleting the cache file, and i've even reinstalled WOW... I don't know what else to do can anyone help me i'd really appreciate it because i REALLY don't want to delete my Paladin just because she wears VIP 4 armor.

Did you try reseting your chat windows ingame

steps to do this are below

Step 1-Right click the general part on your text chat box.

Step 2-Navigate to the button known as "Reset chat windows"

Step 3- It will say this "This will reset your chat window setting's to default" Click accept!

Ive had this problem on retail before. i could read chat on any other char. but not on one character. if this doesnt work ill look for a new solution ( :
